DJ Fred Pierce
A Jersey City native, Fred Pierce has been a dj and party promoter in the New York Metro area for well over 20 years. Fred began his New York dj career in the late 80’s a dj residency at Brooklyn’s famed South Oxford Club along while enjoying guest deejay spots at Better Days, Tracks NY, and the Roxy. In the mid 90s, Fred paired up with promoter James Saunders to create the U+ME parties at Octagon, a hugely successful Friday night event in New York. By the turn of the millenium, Fred was promoting hugely successful weekly nightclub events at Albert’s NJ and Brooklyn Café while continuing to add to his roster of guest deejay engagements at Sound Factory Bar, Twilo, The Warehouse (Bronx) and all three successive locations of the famed Club Shelter. Fred has consulted and played at all the NY Pride In the City events, co-founded Black Pride NYC, and was frequently called to be lead deejay at Jersey City Pride and Fire Island Blackout. Beyond the NY/NJ region Fred has played gigs in Houston, Atlanta, Baltimore, Washington, DC., and has entertained audiences overseas in Japan, Germany, Italy and London. Fred organized and co-created the famed Men Are From Mars parties at Mars 2112 in NY, Rhythm Sundays at Bar 667 in Brooklyn, and the Kiss My Black Ass parties at Webster Hall. Currently Fred maintains deejay guest spots in clubs around the country while working as a senior software development engineer at a prestigious international wealth management company.
